Aquamarine is the birthstone for March. The name ‘Aqumarine’ comes from the latin ‘aqua’ and ‘mara’ meaning water of the sea. Aquamarine is a type of blue beryl (generally a pale sea-blue colour), along with Emerald (which is a rich green colour).

Traditionally, wearing aquamarine jewellery is believed to provide courage, peace, intuition, self-expression and happiness.
