After a 5 year ‘baby-break’ from designing jewellery I decided to get back on the horse and start designing again by entering Swarovski’s Urban Beautiful jewellery design competition! The brief was to create a piece inspired by the urban environment using Swarovski crystals, and this is what I came up with!
Inspired by the still quiet of St James park in London at night, with the light catching the blues of the water and the iridescent wings of mosquitoes. Instead of a moon there is a clock face, showing 5 minutes to midnight, and replacing the light of stars are the distant red lights of aeroplanes and the orange shine of a cats eyes in the dark.
It’s made from felt, gold wire, ribbon and lots of Swarovski crystals.

I have voted ! What a beautiful piece of jewellery. I love the butterflies.
Thanks for voting Kim! The public voting closes tonight and the top 50 (which I’ve just gone into – yay!) then get judged. They announce the top 20 finalists on the 20th of May, so I’ve got my fingers crossed!
That’s beautiful! I am genuinely impressed so will be happy to vote for you : ) x
Thanks Yasmin!
