How to wear your tiara

There are no rules when it comes to wearing a tiara - if you're happy with the way it looks then you should have the confidence to wear it whatever way you want. I've listed a few of the most common options below just to give you some ideas:


Front-mounted tiara

Front-mounted tiara:

Worn towards the front of the hair and sometimes low on the forehead.  Ideally secured with pins at the sides or combs attached to the tiara.  This can also be worn with a veil attached directly behind the tiara.

Bun-wrap

Bun-wrap or crown.

This is a tiara worn around a hair-do, such as a bun, so that the hair frames the tiara.  The hair can be worn high on the head or as low as the nape of your neck, but the tiara should fit snugly against the hair. Crowns can also be worn circling the hair. With this style a veil can be worn either directly behind the tiara, or at the back of the hair.

Hairband

Hairband style

Worn towards the front of the hair like a classic Alice Band. This type of tiara is easy for small children to wear as it can be secured either by pins, or elastic attached to the ends of the tiara and running under the hair at the back.

Crown

Crown.

This is the classic crown worn on the top of the head. Again there are no rules, and you will need to experiment for the best positioning for you.  Can be secured with pins or combs attached to the crown or coronet.
